The property is insured – but is the landlord or business owner protected?

Most business owners and landlords are careful about insuring physical assets: the building, stock, tools, vehicles, equipment or rental property. Those things matter, but they are only one part of the risk picture.

It is also worth asking what would happen if the person behind the asset could not work, became seriously ill, or died unexpectedly. Could the mortgage still be serviced? Could business expenses continue? Would a co-owner, spouse or family member have enough certainty to make decisions?

This is where AIB’s financial services team can help. Personal insurance, income protection, key person cover, shareholder protection and wider financial planning can sit alongside your general insurance plan.

The aim is not to add complexity. It is to make sure the property, the business and the people behind them are all considered together.
